Supply-chain disruption made logistics software mission-critical. Three low-profile names with sticky recurring revenue and room to re-rate.

Supply-chain software is about as unglamorous as technology gets — until you remember what happens when supply chains break. The disruptions of recent years turned logistics, inventory and procurement software from a back-office cost into a boardroom priority.

Mission-critical and sticky

Once a company runs its warehouses, freight and inventory on a software platform, ripping it out is enormously disruptive. That creates high switching costs, strong net retention and predictable recurring revenue — the hallmarks of a durable business. AI is now layering on top, promising demand forecasting and route optimisation that pay for themselves.

What we look for

Recurring-revenue mix, net-revenue retention above 110%, expanding free-cash-flow margins, and evidence that customers are adopting more modules over time. Boring metrics — but they are what separate a compounder from a story.

The bottom line

The best breakout candidates are not always exciting. Supply-chain software offers mission-critical products, sticky revenue and a re-rating opportunity as AI features drive new demand. Sometimes boring is beautiful.
